Marshmallow fondant makes better cakes!
Like other cake decorators, my culinary instructor automatically used vinegar based fondant. Uck! My sweet tooth suggests a marshmallow based fondant. My brain said, "Marshmallow or vinegar?" Now all of my cakes use marshmallow and my tiers hold up wonderfully!
Have you ever had a really beautiful cake that did not taste so great?

  1. Marshmallow fondant sounds WAY better than vinegar. Just the thought of eating vinegar with anything sweet disgusts me. Its awesome that you've found a better tasting solution!

  3. O for sure, one time there was this awesome looking cake at a party and the frosting looked amazing. But when I took that first giant bite I was let down by the taiste of the frosting. There was so much and so little flavor!

  4. John that happens to offen with cakes. People think that since a cake looks pretty they think it should taste just as good as it looks. And thats how it should be! Marshmallow fondant is the way to go!

  5. Courtney made my niece a carrot cake in the shape of a present. She paid attention to detail and made the cake look amazing. The fondant she uses by far is the best fondant I have tasted, compared to the vinegar based fondant that many people use. I would refer Tiers of Joy to anyone that asked me for a cake. I have seen pictures of wedding cakes that have been made by Tiers of Joy and they blow away the competition, and plus that carrot cake for my niece was the best tasting carrot cake i have ever had. Tiers of Joy is a small company so you know they will pay attention to the details you want and need on special occasions. By far the best cake experience of my life.

  7. I've been following your work for some time and I'm more and more impressed with your maturing artistry. It impresses me that you aren't satisfied with just blowing everyone away with the polished look but you've got a real goal in the taste. It makes sense.
